Velvet

Before coming to the sanctuary, Velvet was in danger of being purchased and eaten. She was pregnant when she was rescued by our sanctuary, but, soon after, she tragically lost her baby. Although our veterinarian couldn’t save Velvet’s baby, we are thankful that they were able to save Velvet, who is now healthy, happy, and living in peace at our sanctuary.

Velvet very much enjoys fruit and can often be found snacking on watermelon and strawberries. If you ever see her putting her head high in the air, turning it, and then sticking her tongue out, there’s a good chance that she’s asking for (or demanding!) fruit!
