Joaquin

Joaquin is a two-year-old rooster who, after running for his life from a slaughterhouse, was rescued by Las Vegas Animal Save. After escaping slaughter, he initially spent a couple of years living with a vegan-friendly, family farm in Utah, which eventually faced hard times. So he and his two girls (hens) found their way to our sanctuary for a happy and peaceful life, free from exploitation.

This gentle giant loves to makes sure his girls come first, and he is known to take care of them and serve as their protector. When, after arriving at the sanctuary, he was offered blueberries, he would immediately offer the berries to his girls. This gentleman wanted to make sure the ladies had their fill before he’d have any himself. He’s a selfless prince with his whole life ahead of him.
